WTBorrow: MDLP Deck with Optical Out

Hi all,

Slowly moving away from MD, but I still have a collection of about 100+ MDLP discs where I don't own the original source anymore. I'd like to transfer these to the PC. Today I got the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS card to upgrade my system and it comes with a nice external hub with just about every connector you can think of, including optical in. I don't want to transfer my MD songs from the N707's headphone jack to the optical in of the hub; that would be just silly. Minidisc.org lists loads of old MDLP decks that were equipped with optical out, but needless to say (even on ebay) these are few and far between.

Would you be willing to let me borrow (or rent) your MDLP deck with optical out? I'd pay shipping both ways if you are not in the Seattle area. It probably wouldn't be out of your hands for more than a week. I can spend a couple nights doing the transfers if necessary to get it back to you quickly.

Or, if you have one you want to sell, give me pricing details and model number, I'd be interested.

If you do want some kind of compensation for the rental let me know what ballpark you're thinking of.

Ha! This post is no longer valid. You know what? Today I went through all my old minidiscs and found there are only 4 full CDs plus about 25 assorted songs that I really feel are worth replacing. I can certainly spend that on new music.
