Default WTB: NEC Multispin 6Xe unit

I have a ack! dAck! on the way, and have read that this NEC makes a decent transport for El Cheapo. Any other (easy) El Cheapo transport options are welcomed.

I live in Alabama and can pay with postal M/O + shipping.

Best el-cheapo transport will be a decent DVD player. The 6XE is a nice unit, but it's old and it's laser doesn't do well with even light scratches on CDs. If you want to purchase one badly to try out, I recommend visiting a local used computer store/computer recycling center -- they usually have these laying collecting dust.

Also, to get the most out of the unit, be prepared to redo the digital output as well as the PSU (swap the switching to a linear).
