SOLD: OMZ 4.1 with Headphone Amp
NOW SOLD, THANKS
Well, I sold a Promitheus NOS DAC here, but due to excessive noise in the buyer's system it's coming back. It's only got slight hum in mine at ~3 o'clock volume, so I'll keep it....
But that's not why we're here
So BACK up FS after an initial change of mind is an Oritek Modded Zhaolu v4.1, with headphone amp. I am original owner, bought a D2.5 and sent to Ori to make a full v4.1; I also own a v4.1 DAC-only OMZ upgraded from a D2, am hanging onto that.
Sound is excellent, as well-documented. And, as well-documented, this needs the power cycle to sometimes lock the signal. I've sometimes had to power it twice, if I don't wait long enough. But once on, it's fine, and plays lovely music.
I have used this as a DAC/preamp, using a 1/4" to RCA adapter (will include, along with basic power cord) to feed a power amp. I've driven several phones with it (currently making a pair of AKG 702's sound very nice). And I've used it as a basic DAC as well.
My price is $400 shipped in US. Sorry, US only....
I take Paypal, no fees charged.
See my feedback linked below, or on Audiogon as chams_uk.
Thanks,
Todd - skullguise.

Some possible trades
Bump w/some trade thoughts.
- 9+ foot Ultrasone Cable - RAL much preferred, but others considered
EDIT (3/1) - going to Brad @ RAL, looks like he's caught up with orders; not needed now
- iPod Classic - any HD size, not interested in older gen iPods
- STEPS (or other high quality 12V PS) for my M^3 amp, coax connector

OMG!!! Why do you do this to me?!?!? Only a couple weeks after I buy a decent DAC, you put this up for sale...
I cry myself to sleep nowadays.

This is an awesome sounding DAC, I am so happy to be broke! Otherwise I would be buying this unit.

It's a good thing you are calming down! Your wallet definitely has taken a beating!
Of course, I see in your sig you need speakers and an amp, we could probably talk about that......
Thanks for the bump, too, Miguel.

Thanks, Mike I still have your old one, that's my D2.0A unit, which I upgraded to v4.x
And, BTW, I did already get another pair of X-2's!
Bumping with a slight price drop. $400 shipped/paypal'd in US.

Free bump for a heck of a deal. This sells new for $899 plus S&H, so whom ever buys it would get it for less than 55%.

Thanks for the bump (and potential referral), Miguel; you are indeed a gentleman. I guess I should erase what's on the bathroom wall
Some PM's in progress, but bumping anyway.
