sold: Archos 404 Camcorder w/ dead HDD

minus the shipping, i need the shipping money.

I owned it a couple months, it works flawlessly. It is the single most versatile portable device ever made. But it uses the crap Hitachi drive, same brand as Rio Karma. So it dies on me. I sent it to RMA, but due to their bad customer service they return it same as before.

You cannot replace the harddrive because it locks the specific serial number of the harddrive that is installed to. But if you have a broken Archos 404, you can use it to replace other components like LCD, buttons, batteries, or the whole main board. hey are fully working except the HDD.

I did purchase the plugin that allows it to view VOB/MPEG2/AC3. Also the lcd should be new condition since I use screenprotector. To protect myself I will remove the HDD from the device before shipping (contents still left in there). (I am 100% positive it is really dead.)

Upon buying this for the cost of the shipping of the single device (404 Camcorder) itself without the HDD, you agree to no guarantee to any of the device's functionality.



Also have a new 404's battery that I bought and realised it doesnt fit in the 404CC.
