Default Interest Check: Goldring GR1 Turntable

I've been wanting to upgrade this table for a while, but haven't really gotten around to it. I recently ran into a problem with this unit, that the motor sort of starts "clicking" sometimes when it's been on for a long time. The table has a good amount of time on it (I'd like to say about 200 to 250 hours on it), but the problem does only happen VERY seldom.

Still, because this issue HAS happened more than once for me, I am going to significantly reduce the price. Roy Hall told me that the operation to fix this issue is only minor - that any stereo repair shop in your local area could fix it for a minimal fee, and in a very quick amount of time. He also told me the parts to fix the issue are cheap - only a new motor is required.

NOTE: The issue has never effected the sound quality of the device or the speed of the motor itself. It's just a bothersome, barely-noticable noise which can only really be heard when your ear is placed next to the turntable's platter.

NOTE: The turntable does not come with a cartridge, but DOES come with the excellent tonearm.

If anybody is interested, I am looking to get rid of it for about 150 dollars shipped. I paid about 400 dollars for it from Todd The Vinyl Junkie, IIRC. The cartridge is approximately 80 dollars, according to the Goldring website, and I'm taking an additional 70 off for the slight problem. The turntable is in excellent condition, and I took excellent care of it. If you'd like to see pictures, look in my signature or PM me for more up to date pics. The pics in my sig do it good justice, though.

PM me if interested. I may be letting this excellent product go.
