Default FS: Wavelength Cosine DAC 5.0

SOLD SOLD SOLD

Looking for 900USD + fees. (I'll ship double boxed via Fedex from work for a big discount within the US).

This is the final or second to final revision of Gordon Rankin's Cosine DAC with the Transcendental Module upgrade as well as the Black Gated upgraded power supply. I believe it was made in 2005 given the time stamp on the power supply... It originally MSRP'd at $3500.00.

This is a NOS (Non-Oversampling DAC) with passive I/V and is transformer coupled with a tubed output stage. If you are a fan of the NOS sound or are looking to check it out here is your chance.

I upgraded from a Monarchy M24 dac to this and didn't look back. The key difference was a MUCH wider and more accurate sound stage and heightened clarity/detail-level. It is also very musical and does a fabulous job with vocals.

It takes a single ECC86/6GM8 tube which is a dual triode. Included are 4 tubes: A Valvo/Amperex Bugleboy/GE/Philco.

It takes 1 coax or BNC and outputs to one pair of RCAs. This dac is single ended which is my reason for selling... only balanced gear in the home rig by the end of 2008!

Here are pictures (Special thanks to Spektograf for lending me his mad photography skills.):
