Default FS: Wadia 301 in Black

The Wadia 301 is up for sale to finance a new object of my desire, the Meridian G08. Have no doubt, the 301 is a fantastic sounding CD player, but the G08 is a little better. This upgrade is going to cost me big bucks, so the 301 is up for sale.

This is one of the final 301's to be made. Build date is November 2003. Everything is in like new condition, including the hardcover manual, solid machined billet aluminum remote, and screw in feet. I have all the original packing material, which includes a double box. Color is black.

My unit has the latest control software, which is version 301b. There is some extra dampening material placed around the transformer and on the clock (done at Wadia). The transport is the excellent Pioneer stable platter.

This is a fine sounding CD player which as you know, has a digital volume control to negate the use of a preamp. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5-4V single ended and 1-8V Balanced to make amp matching easy. The 301 comes standard with a BNC digital output, however it comes with a BNC to RCA adaptor. My unit does not include the optional digital input board. This upgrade can be done through Wadia.

Price is $2150. This includes fully insured three day shipping through USPS or UPS (your choice). International orders are welcome, however keep in mind that my unit is set up for North American voltage. Payment through bank wire transfer preferred. Cashier's check or paypal also accepted. If you are using Paypal, add the fee which will be ~$65. If you can pick up the unit in person and pay in cash, I will give a $50 discount.

SOLD.

In addition, the current conveyors are from a special "K-grade" that were set aside for the 912 Monoblock DACs. They were even futher personally hand-matched for my unit.

This is going to Audiogon tomorrow.

I'd love to see a pic of that heavy remote... and free bump!

thanks archosman!

Here is a pic of my 301 (without the feet installed) sitting with the Headamp collection--KGSS, Blue Hawaii, and Gilmore Reference amps. The remote is in there too. This was at Hirsch's meet earlier this month.
