FS: Vintage PCDP's - Sony D-33, Kenwood DPC-72, Philips AZ6832 and AZ6833
I am thinning out my collection a bit, selling off a few duplicates. They are not cosmetically perfect but not bad and all have functioned flawlessly for me. PM me to see photos or for more info.
1) Sony D-33 – Built in 1992, this is a dual dac 16-bit 8 times over-sampling player. It has some small scratches but overall is quite clean. I can include original box and packaging, manual, accessory cord, AC adapter and a car cassette adapter. I have an almost exact duplicate that I’m keeping. Asking $35 shipping included USA.
2) Kenwood DPC-72 – Built in 1991, this player has 8 times oversampling (unsure of the dac), optical digital output, built-in battery charging and can be operated by wireless remote (which I’m not including). This has a number of light scratches but overall is very presentable. From what I’ve read, the DPC-72 was one of the top 3 or 4 players Kenwood made. Asking $50 shipped USA.
3) Philips AZ6832/05 – This has a Philips 1-bit bitstream conversion dual dac and came to me from the U.K. via eBay. If you’ve checked out the portables forum here, you may know that this is the model Duncan liked so well in his comprehensive review. Not many features and not much to look at (mat black plastic case in good condition) but the sound out of this thing is exciting. I wouldn’t give this up if I didn’t have others like it. Includes a car cassette adapter and car power cord. Asking $40 shipped USA.
4) Magnavox AZ6833/17 – This seems to be the US version of the AZ6832. Except for a glossy black case, this has the same appearance, features and exciting sound. Cosmetically fair, this has some odd marks on the top cover. This comes as a car and home package with AC adapter (generic), 2 small speakers, car cassette adapter and power cord, with original box and manual. Asking $40 shipped USA.
