Default FS: technics 1200 PLUS!

hello Head-Fi

for sale is a Technics 1200 Direct Drive turntable WITH the origin live rega arm-board AND the origin live rega VTA widget. the stock tone-stick is included (not installed on the TT its better that way...), but regas go for inexpensive on audiogon.

i am selling for the same reason (sort of) as my scout. i REALLY want to build a TT. i bought this a few weeks ago with the thought of using the Rega arm on the TT that im working on, but a better arm fell into my lap, so i scratched that. this was going to be an in-between deck, and possibly a comparison to the new one. when i had the TT apart to put the rega armboard in, i took the liberty of realigning the speed controlls so that the slider is perfectly centered, AND that its equal on both sides. the numbers on the face-plate of the deck dont corespond to the actual speed variation, but +2% is the same as -2%. ooh, the overall range is a little more than stock the pop-up-lamp does not work, although it pops up quickly and smoothly. LED upgrade kits are available on ebay, and you get cool colors!

i do have the stock piece-of-**** technics tonearm, and will include it although i dont recomend using it. it is as good as a technics 1200 DJ arm can be... i dont have a dustcover for the TT.

for this sexxay beast, i will accept 300 (less than parts costs.)
