FS: Sony SCD-555ES European Model (220 Volts)
Hi,
I'm selling an amazing sounding single disc Sony SCD-555ES. This player is third inline from the Sony SCD-1 era (Sony SCD-1, 777ES, 555ES). I bought the 555ES from Audiogon to compare with my SACDmods Sony SCD-C555ES and, to my suprise, it is almost as good as my modified C555ES (much better than a stock C555ES!!). The single disc 555ES plays CD/CD-R/SACD (2-channel) and weighs in at a hefty 35 lbs. I'm selling the 555ES b/c I need to free some cash and I like my C555ES slightly better.
My asking price is 700 dollars shipped. I doubt that you can find a single disc CD player that sound better than the 555ES in this price range. The 555ES is heavily over built and capable of being a great transport. I take Paypal and MO only. Paypal buyer pays the fee.
The Sony SCD-555ES will come with a voltage converter, remote, and manual. If you need to see pic, please give me your e-mail address.
Thanks,
Purk
Sony SCD-555ES

Bump. Guys, this is a very good sounding source. Definitely much better sounding than Sony SCD-C555ES stock. This definitely can be a Stereophile Class A rating if sold here. Anyway, I will give it a couple more bumps b/f I can have an easy sell on Audiogon.

Lowered Price Bump!! Folks, if you want an excellent sounding source, this is it. This CD/SACD unit will blow anything away under 700 dollars. It shares most of parts from the SCD-1 and SCD-777ES.
