Default FS: SCPH1001 Playstation (Modded)

SCPH1001 Playstation that quite a fair bit of people are raving about for being such a fantastic CD player.

See this thread:
diyAudio Forums - Playstation as CD-player

Mine was bought used - i did not know it was from a tobacco user's home - I've cleaned off most of the icky crud and odor.

Modded - bypassed output stage - blackgate 2.2uF as output capacitor (can be changed to your fav film capacitor for better sound - but can be hard to squeeze into original casing) and 47k ohm resistor ground shunt.

Sound - very live like with lots of energy, the music sounds alive. Never harsh or fatiguing. I just put a CD in (w/o screen) and hit the O button on the controller to play - the shoulder buttons skips the tracks if needed.

Will come with original power cable, AV cables (still smelling of smoke) and 2 controllers (1 of them has been attacked by a small creature with bite marks). Can omit the smoky stuff too

How much? I don't know - $25 + shipping = maybe $40

Reason for selling - I'm from overseas and returning home soon -> cannot use the US 120v version back home. Will prob source a local set once I reach home to mod
