For sale is a SW860 PCDP, this is a very robust sports model with the aluminum jacket and rubber seal ring (splash-proof). Functionality is 100%. Has some scuffs on the outside but not serious. There is a repaired crack on the right latch, the repair was done about two years ago and haven't given me any problem.
40 second anti-shock, you can turn this function off, though I haven't notice any difference in SQ by doing so.
Capacitors in the signal path had been upgraded, the line-out caps changed to BlackGates NX 22uf/6.3V by-passed with BC 0.12uf polyprop, the headphone out has two 220uf BlackGate PK per channel (so 440uf per channel, four caps total). The picture of the mod was taken when I did the initial mod, showing a pair of red NX 220uf for headphone out, but the NX 220uf was way too cold and sharp (and I was using silver/teflon recabled iGrado with it at the time so it really showed), so I later replaced the pair of BG-NX220uf with four BG-PK 220uf. My guess is this will be about the best SQ this model can ever get.
Comes with a 4.5V AC adaptor and a pair of Energizer NimH rechargable batteries. This model has an internal smart charging control, just leave the NimH batteries in the player and plug in the AC adaptor, there is basically no need to take the batteries out for charging.
