For sale: a new iRiver IHP-120, two weeks old with less than 10 hours on the hard drive. I originally intended for this to be my music server, with it able to output FLAC via its optical toslink port. But of course, upgratitus struck and I bought a Squeezebox V3, also able to output FLAC via toslink.
I'm sure most of you are familiar with this player, but for the uninitiated, the IHP-120's primary features are that:
1) It can be mod'd to Rockbox to play FLAC
2) It can output digital stereo via 1/8" optical mini plug
3) It can record digital stereo via 1/8" optical mini plug
4) It can record audio via external, included microphone
5) Without need for any special drivers, you can use Windows File Manager / Explorer to copy and paste music files onto the IHP-120's hardrive or manage it using, say, Media Monkey.
Other than the IHP-120 player and its power supply, all other parts were not used, and therefore still packed in its original plastic:
1) USB cable
2) Male to female 1/8" mini plug adapter
3) Mini plug extension cable
4) Mini plug microphone
5) Instruction manual
6) Earphones
As noted above, I mod'd the firmware to Rockbox so that the user can listen to lossless FLAC. But if the user so chooses, he can easily boot into the original iRiver software by holding down the "record" button while pressing on. Simple as pie.
As a bonus, I will leave a few FLAC'd CDs on the player's HD, and if the user doesn’t like said music, they can simply delete it using Windows Explorer.
But wait! There's more!
To further entice you, I will let the winning buyer select one (1) newly released DC Comics superhero stamp!
