I also have a mini - mini optical cable that I'll put in for $15. It works great with the Iriver 120/140's.

MicroDAC questions
I'm interested but would like ask a few questions before making the commitment.
When did you purchase it and what model year? Is it still under warranty?
Is the optical cable a short cable?

I bought it about a year ago more or less. The optical cable is from System Concepts & is not short -- I think its about 3ft. I had ordered a shorter one, but it was too short to reach from the DAC to the amp. Its a solid cable.
I am not sure about the warranty -- I don't remember how long it is good for. The date on the back of the amp is 10 of 05 - so it is almost exactly one year old. Its in great condition - and really had been used more as a desktop than anything - very seldom taken as a portable.
