Hi,
Selling a great condition FZ47DB 2 piece phono pre from Magenta Audio (made by Margules). This is a heck of a way to get into vinyl.
I've had this for a few years, it was previously owned by "Anna Logg" (RIP) ex of TAS fame. She had great things to say about the Magenta equipment, including this unit and the cool ADE-24 processor. Both relatively inexpensive, but both sound great!
Anyways, this unit is switchable internally to adjust the loading. It has the separate power supply and captive power & umbilical cords. The cases are plastic, but it's clear by the sound that the insides are very nice. I used to own the (original) Lehmann Black Cube, and I liked this Magenta quite a bit more in top-to-bottom sound. Conditoin is Audiogon 7/10; a few marks but functionally fine.
This lists for $450, I'm asking $200 + shipping for it. A few months back two sold on Audiogon for $300 and $350; and even at that price it is a great deal.
I don't have the manual, but that may be able to be had from the Mfr. It is pre-set for MM carts (47k ohms).
