No-no! Everything is perfectly normal - you can plug the headphones to headphone jack, you can charge\upload music, everything working fine. Only the line out doesn't work through bottom dock connector, but it's not a big deal for those who do not use external amplifier.

Just do a "battery replacement" at Apple, you get a brand new one for $60.
