FS CDROM Controller
Finished CDROM controller KIT based on P89S52, including 1602 LCD and remote handset.
This KIT, together with a PSU , a CDROM/DVDROM/CDRW/DVDRW, you can build a CD transport/ CD player yourself ^_^
keyboard and remote control
Play / pause
next/ pre
stop
... ...
CD discs will plays 1X speed in the controller, Your CDROM provids high quality DIGITAL signal and you can also use the headphone out from the front pannel.
This controller work well with most of the CDROMs, but not the all.
about 6 KITs are available, 35 USD each, PP fee and airmail registerd included

What types of digital output does your controller support? (I know I could google that, but I barely understand these things, so some straightforward answer would be appreciated)

Hi swistak, the format of digital output is TTL . Because all the CD-ROM only provides TTL digital signal derectlly from the rear panel. But you can translate the TTL to SPDIF easilly, just add 3 passive resistors and capacitors.
