(SOLD)
Hi everyone,
I have an 4G Ipod Photo 60GB for sale.
Details:
- 60GB Ipod Photo in approx condition 9/10.
- Custom colorware! Ipod itself is yellow, with black wheel, and the back surface is unchanged. See more info below.
- Perfect for iMod!
- Original box
- Original USB cable
- Original Firewire cable and charger
- Original owner! Purchased 1 year ago.
- Has spent most of its time in very protective Pelican case.
Slight scratches (not very visible) on the front, and on the metallic back which is famous for showing any scratch whatsoever. Very good condition overall since I have only had it for about 1 year (I bought one of the last ones available). It has spent most of its time in Pelican case sized specifically for Ipod. Overall I have barely used it (only a few hours a month, so maybe 60 hours overall), and this is the main reason why I am selling it now as I'm going through everything I have as part of moving.
Colorware is a great company operating out of Minnesota which does custom paint jobs for Ipods, other Apple products. Very high quality and thus very expensive. Example =
http://www.colorwarepc.com/products/videoc.aspx. I paid $84 for the service itself, and approx $55 in shipping since I sent it FedEx 2day each way = total $139. Additional benefit besides the unique color itself is that it is more scratch-resistant. More information available at
http://www.colorwarepc.com/content.aspx?id=5.
So the total cost of this Ipod overall including Colorware service was over $500. My price for selling it now at 9/10 condition is
$260 including shipping paypal, or discounted price of $252 if you use Google Checkout instead of Paypal.. (This discount is because I will not have to pay any fees with Google Checkout).
Note that this is PERFECT for iMod. It is 9/10 condition, and upgrading to iMod to this 4G is much cheaper than the 5G iPods.
From Vinnie's site (
http://www.redwineaudio.com/iMod.html)
4G = $199
5G = $249 + ALO iMod Cable which range from $110-$380 as per ALO site (
http://www.aloaudio.com/imod/5gimod.html). So even if you get the cheapest one at $110, this would be $249+$110=$359 for the iMod for 5G which is $159 more than the iMod 4G. This does not count the shipping fees you would have to pay for both Vinnie + ALO.
Put another way, if you wanted the iMod for 5G, you could buy the 5G 80gb iMod from ALO for $550 and get the $110 cable from ALO, total price is $550 + $110 = $660! Whereas this Ipod for $252 + $199 for iMod = $451, more than $200 cheaper. This does not even include the Colorware coloring which bring the total for 5G up to more than $800, which would make this one more than $350 cheaper.
I have feedback here on head-fi and also on Ebay where I have been a member for more than 9 years.
Thanks,
Brian
