Cause for Concern? New User absentee00

Mods: First, please delete this if it is determined to be an inappropriate thread, but I wanted to post this early, JUST IN CASE.

I got an unsolicited email from new user "absentee00", offering a 60GB iPod Video with or without accessories. If interested, the request was to do business through his personal email.

Nothing too odd so far.

However...

...I noticed in his first PM, his location was Arizona. Now, it has changed to British Columbia.

I'm not certain this is anything to be concerned about, but the fact that a new user like this is going around sending unsolicited PMs for a sale, not using the FS forums, and has changed his location had me a bit worried. Just thought I'd put it out there. Thanks, and again, sorry if this is deemed inappropriate.

We have been aware of and have been tracking this person for several days now in an effort to compile evidence of scamming for our police complaint.

We very much appreciate member assistance in reporting suspected scammers, suspected shilling, and other board infractions, but ask that anyone who receives unsolicited emails or PMs offering items for sale, (possible scamming) or giving a strong sales pitch/recommendation for a particular product (shilling) no matter how convincing their self-proclaimed "good intentions" may be, should contact the moderating staff immediately. Please do not start threads about the matter however.

Looks like the cat's out of the bag now. If anyone else has had recent contact or dealings with absentee00, would you kindly PM the information directly to me.

I guess this is a good time to remind everyone to read the "PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST SCAMMERS " sticky post at the top of the For Sale forums.
