Tubes FS:6DJ8, 6922 tubes: Philips or Amperex
I have a boatload of Philips JAN 6922 tubes, which is the modern version of the 6DJ8 tube, new in the box but tested as: new strength, no leaks, and no shorts.
These are from the early 80s. They have a nice neutral sound, detailed with focused 3-D imaging, and no excessive tone body or richness. Amperex-Holland tubes have more tone body but less sharply delineated tone images (I have some good testing used ones of Amperex - your choice of A-frames, Bugle boys, or Orange Globes - for the same price as the Philips). The tone body of the Amperex is slightly richer than the Philips, which many people prefer, but this can depend on the specific application.
Amperex Sold
Price is $18 per pair, and $8.50 for each additional one beyond the two. Price includes shipping to lower 48 USA states and paypal fees. Insured shipping is $3 more. Not responsible for items not received that were not insured, but in over 300 shipments, of both sending and receiving items, not one was ever lost in transit.

Your system is only as good as its weakest link. When you replace one part, and very obvious improvement is noted, that was your weakest link. FEEDBACK
