Default M3 Headphone Amplifier & Op-Amps!

Hello All,

FOR SALE:
M3 Headphone Amplifier – this is a great solid state headphone amplifier with many positive recent reviews. This M3 has been used for about three months (probably about 100 hours use total) and is in new condition. Unfortunately I must part with it due to financial reasons. It includes the Velleman adjustable power supply in a separate matching aluminum enclosure. For those interested here are the details of the amplifier:
a. Gain of 11
b. Alps volume pot with brushed aluminum round volume knob
c. Bass boost switch (approximately 6dB boost = very subtle)
d. Hammond 1455T2201 clear aluminum enclosures with metal end caps
e. Quiescent current set at 120mA
f. Burr-Brown OPA627 operational amplifiers in gold sockets
g. Kobiconn ¼” headphone, RCA, and DC power jacks
h. Green LED
i. Vishay-Dale metal film resistors (CMF series RN55’s)
j. Wima, Kemet, and Nichicon capacitors
k. Matched transistors
l. 1.5” transistor heatsinks coupled to aluminum case bottom (this is the best approach in my opinion as it allows for low transistor temperatures and a clean looking sealed case with better noise immunity)
m. Velleman adjustable power supply set to 25VDC
n. Fused and switched IEC power connector
o. IEC power cord (generic)
p. Adjustable DC power cord from 0.5 to 2 feet
I personally built and tested the unit and it has been completely trouble-free and an enjoyment to listen to. I am a Test Engineer with over eight years experience designing, building, and testing electronics. In addition, I am solder certified to the J-STD-001 standard. The unit is built correctly! For you dedicated headphone aficionados I am including an Op-Amp package that will allow you to experiment for yourselves to find your listening preference. This will include the recommended AD8610’s on Brown Dog adapters, as well as OPA637’s, AD825’s, AD843’s, and AD845’s. This is a bonus worth over $100 alone.

Asking $325 + shipping.

Thank you,

Tim
