Default FS: Direct Coupled Cary 300 SEI Formula 1 Edition

Sold pending funds

This is a rare F1 Direct Coupled version of the Cary 300 SEI

The modifications are done in house by Cary and sold exclusively through upscale audio. So its no hack job and is more like a higher end spec 300sei than a "unit with mods".

Its a wonderful sounding unit, and not to mention easy on the eyes.
Its slightly faster than the stock Cary 300 SEI with a little more refinement all around, along with a speeding up and firming up of the bass.

Here is a list from the web site on f1 differences:

Jensen oil and copper capacitors: Gives you the midrange we crave by giving you a more pleasing midband, while increasing clarity & texture.

Hexfreds in the power supply: Results in better pitch and definition especially when music becomes complex, and is most helpful in the bass arena.

CD input wired with Kimber Kable: We could actually do all of them, but it could get quite expensive. So we did one input and you put your most critical component there.

WBT Speaker terminals: Other folks will always refer to "WBT Style" terminals. These are the real ones which cost many times more, but hey dude… it's where your speakers get the music.

I purchased it from Kevin Deal around the end of September of last year. Im currently unemployed and low on funds. Hence the sale. Tubes I will include are, Emission Labs mesh plate 300bs, Sylvania bad boy 6sn7s for drivers and line stage, and Ill see if I can find the stock tubes too.

This unit is very rare, and I have never seen the like on sale anywhere before.

Get the unit at an extreme discount.

Im selling it to head-fiers for $2500

Thank you,
Blue

Do you know if it would work with European voltage (220v), by an internal switch or so? If not, would Cary be able to do the necessary changes?
I'm asking this because I live in Portugal, Europe and am going to the US on vacation next October... and have been planning to buy a CAD-300 SEI for some time.
Thanks,

Bruno

PS: Sorry, I hadn't read the SPF part...
