WTB: Senn HD 205 vs 212 Pro (Urgent)
Hi there guys, i'm ordering some stuff on amazon, and i want to order one of the two headphones mentioned, but i cant decide which one, let me explain:
HD 205:
they are cheaper than the 212's, by about 20 bucks.
They look really cool.
people say they are more balanced than the 212's
it reminds me of my lousy HD 465 ( not a good thing lol)
HD 212:
i have actually tested these, and have to say i liked them.
so comfortable that you wont believe.
it has an emphasis on bass ( which i love).
anyways, my heart is with the 212's but cant let go of the 205's either, i could get both, but i won't use both so it would be a waste. i will use these for everything, gaming and music more, portability is an issue too.
please help ASAP
thanks

HD205 for me.
Heard neither, so based my decision on looks only.

I ve one pair of Hd-205 and the sound is good ,powerfull with good bass frequences and I know Hd-212 and for me 205 is more better in terms of general sound...Hd-205 is a good choice!
Off course use it in a good amplifier because yu can improve the perfoemance of your headphones, nothing like high-fidelity!!

@mjenabi2,
I am in the same dilemma. I was wondering whether to re-buy the 212s or buy the 205s or something else altogether.
I have a had a pair of HD 202, HD 212 and HD 201s.
HD 212 have the best bass
HD 202 are in between
HD 201... no bass. good sound quality though.
From my research, 205s don't seem to have bass that's as good as that of the 212s.
So for your case if those are the only two options, I'd go for the 212s.

i liked my 212's, until i heard some other phones. the bass is really pretty muddy, and it sounds like a muffled phone. imo i prefer the px100's.
the hd212's seem like fancy sony v150's (god almost all of my prior headphone purchases were terrible)

HD212pr0 have too much bass & poor mid-range...But HD212pro are more comfortable & lighter.
HD205 have better sound quality & better looks & good for One ear listening.. got Red Dot design award also.
When u buy HD205.. u have to keep them over a box of tissue or books to let their clamp loosen up.
HD205 is the best in that class..its like younger brother of HD25 .
But dont expect great comfort from HD205 due to their weight.
HD212pr0 only wins in Comfort.
