Default Would like more bass than my ksc75 can provide.

Well I will start out saying i absolutely love my ksc75 headphones. They work awesome for both rock and classical (2 main genres i listen to) but they lack when it comes to more bass heavy music. So i was thinking maybe getting the porta pros since they are selling for $30.But i want to know if that is going to be a big step up bass wise(i mean everything from impact to depth to emphasis)Also i want to know if maybe there is something better bass wise for under $50.Any suggestions will be helpful.

You can get the ksc-35's right now from the koss website for $44.99 and use coupon code "anniversary" for a discount. In my opinion they have more bass than the ksc-75's and wider soundstage. A bit better than the ksc-75 imo.

I recommend PX100's, I've gotten used to their warm mid-bass & bassy sound.

the ksc75's have plenty of bass imo... i read that the headband mod pressed the pads slightly closer to the ears, which lets you hear more bass. for $5, it might be worth it for you.

Have to say 2X on the PX-100. To me, completely opposite sonic balance than KSC-75. If EQ is a possibility; I'd dial in more bass for the KSC-75, but more treble for the PX-100. The Senn is wonderfully well-balanced though. Totally forgiving, easy to listen to fatigue-free sound. For inexpensive HP's they're both worth owning.

if you want bass for not much money then get the JBL reference 410's. not as open as the above suggestions, but they have a far more powerful presentation.....and for what they are, they're cheap.

Amazon.com: JBL Reference 410 : Electronics

the JBL's are akg's in drag and the sound will take some getting used to, but if you want bass for not much money, then they're the ones to have. again, not as open sounding as some, but they dig down deep!

Thanks for the replies.First off I dont know about the ksc35 since wouldnt the porta pro be better or atleast as good? And i dont know about the px100 cause from what i read the porta pros offer much better bass...supposedly.An amp is going to be to expensive for me right now so I'm gonna have to pass up that idea. And finally those JBL look interesting.I might get those but I'm still a little hesitant.Anyone else that can help please comment.

Don't go with the KSC35, it's all hyped up too much by the ooh-it's-out-of-production-so-it-must-be-good crowd.

I own both the KSC75 and the PX100 and I can tell you that the PX100 has AMAZING bass, sometimes even better than my HD650. You can't go wrong with the PX100 in my opinion, I have never listened to the porta pros though, but it would really have to be something if it's got better bass than the PX100.

I don't like my portapro's, much prefer the brighter cleaner signature of the ksc75.
Bass is bleh on them also, that's mainly because of the tight headband though, throwing them on the ksc75 clips turns them into a new animal with a more balanced sound but still more bass than the ksc75 titanium drivers. ( basically ksc35 since they use the same drivers ), but I still like my ksc75 better because of the sparkly highs.

I love the KSC75 and with the headband mod they get that extra bass you want. $5.00 is a cheap solution to making some perfect portable headphones.

I say swing the PortaPro. It uses the same driver as the KSC35 so you'll get plenty more bass out of it than the KSC75, though, the treble will be less sparkly. I prefer them over the Senn. PX100, which I feel is a better phone for slightly more laid back sound (ie Jazz and Classical). To be fair though, the difference between the PortaPro and PX100 is minimal, and you'd probably be happy with either one.
