But just like speaker wire I suppose, in theory, larger wider gage, more sound to travel through the pipelines..and more info to feed those hungry large drivers
Resolution is greatly improved with better and consistent current in headphones, and everyone whom has heard the GS 1000s may have ran into this upon mating the cans with different sources and various amps.
Since electricity flow is measured in amperes of current, the size of the cable is an important consideration with these larger phones maybe??
As, the farther the current (electricity) has to travel, or the smaller the diameter of the wire, the greater the voltage drop.

Sounds good, glad you're enjoying them
I'd like to hear a pair someday (recabled or not)

^ Hey if you have relatives near Phoenix, or come to Arizona for one reason or the other, you are more than welcome to come have a listen to my pair - no worries.
I am going to finish off the showdown tonight..a loved one passed on last night and was a hard evening to say the least to get through, so will be concentrating more this evening on the comparitive showdown bewtween the various cans mentioned in my prior post.
Looking forward to replying back with more impressions..

hi
instead of starting a new thread, it may be such that others have obtained a pair of BDGS1's, hence the bump

That's what I suspected. It was rhetorical.

dang it rob...I was so excited when I saw you had replied, because I thought you had a pair..and were posting impressions...
Hey though, these cans are the real deal, cannot wait to get some feedback from others that have heard them soon (besides John G and Drew B)
I bumped the thread because this should be a hot topic right now, or will be in the future..The BDGS1 everyone should hear I think, if in Phoenix let me know, you can hear mine no problem

I suspect you intend to corner the market on GS1000 related threads, and then jack up the price of admission.
