Default Where to order Ultimate Ears

Hey all.

Where should I get my super.fi 5's from? Earphone Solutions

or

Comp-U-Plus

Both will be the same price, but which one has better service, reliability, etc?

Thanks.

This is a bit off topic but I didn't wanna create a thread for this question...

Whats the difference between 5 Pro and EB Pro? I can't seem to find EB Pros anywhere online anymore but theres still some on eBay.

Thanks.

there is no "eb pro," its just EB, which stands for extended bass. it uses a dynamic driver to produce the low frequencies, whereas the super.fi 5pro's use 2 armature drivers and are less bassy (but more balanced sounding)

btw are you negative design from eocf?

There is a huge difference between the 5 pro and the EB version. (There is no "EB Pro" version)
The EB is "extended bass" and are bass heave (i mean, REALLY bass heavy) phones. The 5 Pro are also bass heavy, but are more evened out. Also the EB version is considerably bigger, sticks out a bit more.

Their price was originally much higher, but they lowered it to the same as Comp-U-Plus. Also, I can't get the 35% off with Ultimate Ears products. Either way, I'm still going to go with earphone solutions. If you're looking for super.fi 5's, they will sell them to you for 199 shipping included (not the 249 as advertised on their site).

Haha! I love that avatar, you have a thing for mustaches dont you

and Yes sir its me from EOC,your the 3rd EOC member I've seen here.

I got the impression there was an EB Pro from all those eBay auctions, thanks for clearing it up...I should of known though lol

I own the Super.Fi 5 Pros and its R.I.P I created a thread about it earlier feel free to contribute to it .

If my RMA falls though I'm likely to by the 5 Pro's from E/S.

Nuks, how did you get the price of the Super-fi5 Pros down to $199 at EarphoneSolutions? I'm also interested in them at that price (not $249...)

Thanks,

A.

Earphone Solutions well beat any price you can find from an authorized dealer. Comp-U-Plus has them for 185 + 15 shipping, so I emailed E.S. and they said they'd give them to me for 199, which is great.
