Default Wearing cans with long hair

So, I have semi long hair (covers my ears), and was wondering if you guys or girls think there is any decrease in SQ when you still have your hair placed over your ears. I notice a slight increase in clarity, I know this seems a dumb question I guess it is but im just curious. Thanks.

If it doesn't work out, there is always the choice of a ponytail...

Well, I had long hair(kinda) sometime back, not fully covering my ears, but I don't like it getting in the way anyway, I push it aside before putting on my cans.

I couldn't imagine that having hair covering your ears would increase the clarity... that's rather peculiar.

I meant when I moved my hair behind my ears I noticed slight increase in clarity, but I'm not sure if its a placebo effect. Maybe I'll have to go pig tails or mullet!

I have had small problems with my curly semi-long hair and ety's, I always managed to get a bunch of hair inside my ear with the IEM's. Now, with the short hair, everything is gone, and full-sized cans feel way better too. So guys, get rid of your SQ decreasing long hair..!

I think that hair would just increase the distance between your ear and driver. So maybe its like how using bowls vs flats/comfies messes with detail?

I always brush my hair back whenever I put on my full sized cans. If I dont then I get headphone hair or my ears get really uncomfortable.

Also, I know that sometimes if one of my hairs pokes in and touches the driver it makes a bad sound with low frequencies.

I always pull my hair back, put headphones on, then let the hair settle back over it.

I had long hair for a while, and always pulled it back. For some reason I automatically assumed that hair in the way would distort things, so I never even tried it.

when i had long hair, it was always messy so i couldnt really pull it back or brush it back, i would just move it a little around my ears and throw my headphones on.. but when i would listen to my stax, my hair would kind of stick to the pads.....

I always tilt my head back a bit so my hair goes behind my ears. Placing headphones on from front to back will ensure all hair gets pushed back. Having even a few strands of hear in between your headphones can create distracting distortions.
