I have been out all day. I'm making God mad by posting this from church. I have the box with recabled HFI780 in my car. Will report back later. God's calling, gotta run!

I feel like you are just trolling this thread. Everything you have said in this thread has been negative. The RMC Audio website doesn't list the HFI-680, and personally that's enough indication that anyone should expect that they have it. I appreciate your input and such elsewhere on this forum (and consistently at that), but honestly...it feels like you are just trolling this thread because you have it out for Ultrasones? Let me know if I'm just being an idiot.
Sorry, I should have posted my question to them. I asked if the are expecting HFI-680 in stock and what would be the price, as I am looking for one.
And you saw the reply.
If anyone knows any place in US that sells them, please PM me. (thanks in advance)

looking for some hfi680's myself...the Ultrasone web site does not even mention them, yet on the big Ultrasone post its been delivered to Dex. I emailed Ultrasone USA and am waiting for an answer. RMC gave me the same response that Andrew got.

Did anyone else see the thread Ken made about his mod for these? I am now very interested in these headphones. He thinks they might be able to compete with the ED9!
HFI-680 and 780 are different by impedance, guess this is the only difference between two, if they just use resistor, using inline resistor adapter will make 780 a 680, if they use different voice coil (which I doubt), then it'll be more difficult.
Any volunteers to try resistance adapter on 780?

Just pop a 780 open and measure to see if there is an additional resistor.
