I actually think the velours (PRO750/HFI780) vs leather (ED9) earpads make an even bigger difference in sound...

Where are these being found for $200? They seem to be $250 everywhere I look.

I love my K-501s but I would like a closed 'phone for some isolation and maybe a bit more depth or impact.

That would definitely be an interesting comparism especially with the 750!

I posted it somehwere else but will just repeat it here; Does anyone know if the headband improval-thingy also includes the new PROlines??
Asking because I just found out my 750 has several tiny cracks in the headband and one small piece actually fell out today

Not sure but you could email NSL since they usually offer very good prices for Ultrasone. On their site they advertise listprice but when mailed they offer a different one...
They only ship con-usa though if I'm not mistaken.
