Site legitimacy check - Sennheiser HD595.
Hey there, I've been doing nothing but lurking this website for a while, and I've decided to finally join. Sorry to have this be my first post (of the new year too! Happy new years everyone!), but I'm interested in these Sennheiser HD595 from this website: Stereo Headsets - ABC Conferencing
I've contacted them and they said they're brand new, not refurbished.
Thanks in advance!

I can see that's a great price, but I'd probably just pay the extra 20 dollars more at amazon knowing that they can't possibly be passing out fake phones. Also, great return policy.

don't forget tho', some dealers put huge markup on some products for whatever reason. i've seen £80 difference in those phones in the uk, you need to find a place that specializes in audio / visual, not necessarily computing, music production or electronics, as these places will concentrate on their own product lines first (which would be competitively priced), & other things would be pricey, to justify being there.
mind you, that site you linked to, the "about us" button's no working for me..?

The thing is I live in Canada, so I'm quite limited when it comes to purchasing headphones online. Every single HD595 I've seen in Canada retails for AT LEAST 300, and that's just frustrating.
I've contacted the site and they let me know that it comes with Sennheiser's 2 year warranty, and that it's brand new. I'm still a bit iffy, and I want to buy it from a reputable source without having to pay 50 US for shipping.
Thanks though for the replies!

Probably is okay - however... a few points to consider:
1. have you checked their ADDITIONAL shipping fees for international - those costs could easily be put into even better headphones.
2. Usually when shipped across the border from online distributors, Canada Customs WILL hit you big - could cost you up to 40% more
3. How is this company for warranty return, customer service etc?
4. You can easily get a gently used and well-taken care of pair right here on head-fi. Great prices, can claim lower costs for customs, lower shipping and handling costs (if any), and a great bunch of dedicated and serious headphone purists.
Just some thoughts to consider.... (PS - I'm Canadian)

1. Yeah I'm checking these sites to find out customs/taxes/etc. I could probably to get them to declare it at a lower value anyways!
2. I know all about those horrible Canadian customs... sometimes I get taxed for more than half the original value of the item.
3. I don't know about their warranty return because I haven't bought from them... but their customer service is top notch for me.
4. I understand that... but the thing is I just don't really want a used one, no matter how good the deal.

Welcome to the forums man! I would buy from one of these sites but given Christmas has just passed alot of these sellers might list they have but in reality they are out of stock so i would call first to check that they're in stock and don't buy from fotoconnection.com if they're listed there. I called them and they said they had the d2000 in stock, when in reality they actually were out of stock and didn't tell me. Good luck those cans are neat i have their predecessor the hd590 and i love them.

Haha, what do you mean when you say they're shady? Are the items genuine and brand new? Or are they refurbished or used? They seem like they offer great prices with low shipping!
