Anyone have an extra pair of either kicking around?

If i ship my DT990's to you, and note it as a gift on my USPS priority International ticket, why would there be any customs charges? I hate to show my Ignorance but I have done just this in the past to Australia and Singapore with no problem. I'm not sure where the issue is if no money changes hands.
Heck I could practicaly throw them to you from here.

I am almost done with my time with the GS-1000s. Hopefully I will get an extensive report written up at some point; I've definitely taken many notes!

Please refrain from making requests for other phones in this thread. I don't want this to become beggers alley. This thread is reserved for the phones offered at the moment and nothing else. If you don't see something you like, don't bother posting you don't want to try the phones and are hoping for something different. As phones become available I'll add them to the list.
As it is, I will soon be adding a pair of HD650's which have been donated by a member. I won't reveal who unless they want me to. These donations are a huge plus to this program and there is a possibility that a pair of 501's will be on their way to the program in the not too distant future.
Also, I think the UK program will be starting soon. Maybe as early as March. I'll confirm shortly on that.
I've been swamped and hardly on Head-fi in the last 2 months. I'm hoping to get on here a bit more in the coming days so make sure the program is running smoothly. Christmas took up quite a bit of my time this year and New Year activity back to the grind is swamping me.

Zanth,
Thanks again for your work. I don't mind if Head.Fi-ers know that the Senns are coming form me. I don't have problem with the privacy issue. Perhaps it will insprire others out there with like new HP's they have to donate as well. It sure would be nice to see some STAX or ULTRASONE ED9's floating around. although the price and the shipping of a Stax amp would probably be cost prohibitive

I don't really fully qualify. I badly would love to try the
RS-1/RS-2 Combo.

Wow, I've never heard of any program like this before. It sounds excellent.
Hopefully in a year or so I'll qualify to be able to borrow some headphones. I've always wanted to try the RS1/RS2 and the GS1000.

Go to the home page of Head-Fi.org: Headphones, iPod earphones, portable audio, MP3 players, high-end audio (not the forum's home page, so nothing in the link after the .org/) and look for the link at the top center of the page to become a contributor, just below the link to amazon or blog of the day.

In his first post, Zanth asks that you be an active member for at least six months...

You should have put a small charge to get into the list, that way you could have got more headphones circulating around.
Also, is the European scheme up yet?
Thanks

It's all about trust and the only cost is the shipping forward to the next person.
I think a PayPal deposit would not be unreasonable. The only additional cost would be the paypal fee.
