I hope they plan on releasing some MORE press releases soon (about some new flagship headphones)! I thought 2007 was the year of the IEM... :sadbasshead:

Haven't we had enough IEMs? Honestly...
If the IE-7 is more comfortable but just as neutral as the Ety ER-6 and in the same price category, I'm all over them. Otherwise, eh, it's yet another IEM.

So far we have seen:
Dynamic IEM:
IE6 - the bassy model.
IE7 - the neutral/balance model
IE8 - capable of changing bass level.
CX6 Travel - possibly IE6 with the airline adapter (increase impedance too)
From the picture of press release, I think they all come with memory wire like UE
Wireless earbud: MX-W1 based on Kleer technology.
Guess that sum up Senn. new products for CES08 so far, right?

Boo Sennheiser.
I was also hoping for a electrostatic.
But let's face it. They are a large business that needs to move product. Offering products to accessorize the latest FOM MP3 player will do it.
I was also hoping they would make a headphone I actually liked

They were going to release the HD-1, but it sounded so good that it ate the entire engineering team, and never got out of prototyping.

I can't agree more!
I was hoping Sennheiser would release a headphone that I would like to buy, and that I most probably would end up liking. But hopefully they release it sometime in the future...

As Jude said, it shouldn't be what we expected

That said, an IEM with adjustable bass could be kind of useful

I just ordered a pair of Sleek SA6 that can do even more than that.
I am really disappointed in Sennheiser's CES revelations so far....

Ah well, the day is not over yet.
Otherwise I will just switch L and R ear pads on my goodold HD600 to make it feel like something new. And there is something unusual sitting on the other end of the desk...
