Sennheiser cx300 question - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

Hey,
I used to have a pair of cx300 earphones with a matte back finish. They crapped out on me and I sent them in for repair and I got back a pair with a glossy back finish...any difference btw the 2? Thanks.

probably not, they are probably newer versions. The 1's you sent in got thrown away, as it would be pointless to repair them (labor/pars > actual cost of CX300s).

After some further research it appears that Sennheiser changed the production process.
