Default In search of frequency response graphs for new AKG MKII's

This would technically be my second post if it weren't for my old headphones flippantly deciding to crash the computer when I was near finishing the last post a few days ago.

I am the very happy owner of some AKG k171s's which I've had for nearly a year now. They've seen some especially rough times; like when I was late for work and they fell of whilst I was barreling down the street on my skateboard and bounced off the asphalt a few times before I could stop. I've gone through 2 cables and the 3rd is now taped up to avoid further damage--but will likely die in the next few weeks.

Originally I bought them for my ipod nano; but I quickly upgraded to a Cowon D2 and have since started noticing the differences between wave and mp3 quality. One of those differences of course was the bass. However when I look at the frequency response of the 171's, it seem quite low. I of course realised that when I bought them, and hadn't cared because of their outstanding product quality.

However I've been left with a certain issue as of late. I listen to the D2 at a volume of 3-7 on average whilst in the office--where I listen to them most. Unfortunately the D2's bass doesn't seem to really kick in until a volume of 10, which hurts my ears very quickly. As I'm typing this, the volume is a 5 and I can imagine that I could drop it 1 or 2 points and still make out the lyrics fairly well.

But, as I said earlier, the bass doesn't really kick in at this level. It does have great bass when coupled with the D2's lower range sections of the equaliser maxed and mach3bass maxed--but I'd like to play more with the equaliser and not focus on trying to max out my bass response.

So anyway, I ended up ordering a pair of AKG k240 MKII's because I'd heard the MKII's had a punchier bass than previous models and headroom's graphs showed that the 240's bass frequencies are much more pronounced than that of the 171 or any of the other lower end--but cable replaceable--headphones.

Unfortunately I'm unable to find a frequency chart for any of the new MKII's. I've spent a number of hours searching google links, but I've only been able to find headroom's section.

So instead of being a 'man,' I've decided to ask a community; and this is the one which I've learned the most from random post searchings.

Does anyone know of a site which provides frequency responses for the AKG's new line of cans?

Pax vobiscum,
Sygoomei
