BURN BURN BURN. My X3i really started to shine after almost 150 hours of burn in. The sounded good to start, but they got much better the more I used them. They are actually my favorite IEMs right now because they are so portable and damn comfortable.

I just recieved my X3i today, but the filter piece on the right side of the bud came off. 
I think it was due to the pressure of me trying to shouve the earbuds as deep as they can go.
What should I do? Is it possible to stick it back on with super glue?
I know I can just return it, but I don't want to wait another month..
Anyone pls help

If I'm not mistaken, they discontinued the original X3/XBs, so ordering those from the Jaben site will get you X3i/XBis.

I gave one pair of X3i to my sister, and they look exactly the same. As I said, bad build quality is still an issue with the Mylars, unfortunately.

I think X3i's are quite good canalphones. I compared them to EP-630 side by side and X3i's are better hands down...but not on all players.
On my IFP they have more detailed, clear sound also isolation is better. It seems muddiness is 'erased' but it's misleading - there is too much bass and too rolled-off highs to tell X3i's are so great. Of course they are good for money I spent , but I will have to look further and dig deeper in my pocket to be really satisfied with.

Just tried listening to them. IMO, these should not be called X3i because they sound so much different from the original X3.

Exactly - cannot agree more. X3 are more neutral, X3i are rather bassy - X3 needed more bass, but what we receive with X3i is just too much.

After much consideration, I think I'm going to pass the X3i since I'm quite happy with my X3 already and it took me 2 tries to get a working X3 last time (I can't imagine going through all the hassle ONE MORE TIME to get a proper working earphone! :P). The sound signature also seems to be less "fun" anyway compared to the older model.

Looks like all the comments of "better build quality" have been thwarted in futility. But seriously, less than a day of use? Do they test these products prior to marketing?

someone said x3i's clarity and details improve upon some burn-in sessions. can anyone confirm that?
i liked x3's clarity and details but its bass was not enough for me, so i bought x3i. x3i is giving me good bass but its clarity and details do not match the ones of x3. basically it's muddy compared to x3.
