Frankly I'm skeptical.

Well, obviously is photoshopped.
I think it was meant to show how the final product would kinda look like?

It looks cheap, uncomfortable (closed-cell foam mats for earpads?), and a bit like an MDR-F1.

well, no reason to not be skeptical but... really. i am excited to see fake or real news. the hd800 no matter its looks will be a winner and be a great seller as have all the high end hd series headphones. it looks a little strange but it also is the start of a new age. 800 may be a drastic look however i hope not. i really like the quiet lines of the hd580-6x0 series.

I sincerely hope that the HD800 doesn't look like the pic above whenever it comes out. It just screams cheap.

They look like a $15 pair of cheap-o gimmick phones. Maybe something like Skullcandy would put out.
The odds of Sennheiser doing something like that to their "HD" series of headphones is zero to negative 100.

LOL. I won't mind if they have better sound compared to the HD650/600/580 but have a cheapo price to match its fugly looks. Its the sound that matters!

This just in, pictures of the Sennheiser HD850 headphones leaked!
My mother's sister's husband's cousin's, grandfather has a dog who works for Sennheiser. He recently sent me a picture of the HD850s.
Here they are:
Please keep in mind this is a VERY reliable source. It only took a couple of snausages and a cheese puff to convince him to send me this pic...
The USB interface intrigues me.
Discuss.
