Frankly, with the E530's out now, this is what NOS E500's should be selling for on clearance, rather than the full retail that stores are still listing them at.

i think the e500's are better than the e530's because it comes with the PTH addon. i dont believe the 530's have it and its a $60 accessory.

The SE530 just has the option of being standalone without the PTH module. There is still a SE530PTH, which includes the PTH module.

Are you sure the E500's do NOT have the option be used apart from the PTH module? It was my understanding the could be used w/o that.

yes it is just an addon accessory. i myself have only used it once in 3 months, perfect for airplane use. i think they dont come with the new black foamies, though... i could be wrong.
hmm.. at this price im thinking of picking up another...

SE530 = E500, Identical in everyway.
Same thing, SE530 has optional PTH. I'd say the E500 is better, its cheaper, and comes with the PTH.

I think he was just saying that the 500s come with it, whereas you have to buy the specific 530 version that has it. Not all of the 530s come with PTH. But yeah, the PTH is definitely detachable.
