Default Need Help on Headphones Situation

Hey all!

Well, the bad news. My Sennheiser HD595's that were supposed to show up today didnt, sennheiser is back ordered on them until the end of November or something.

GOOD NEWS! I ran into some extra cash and decided that I could drop a bit more on some kickass headphones. These headphones are going to be powered by a Z-Audio Lambda and possibly a Auzentech Prelude.

I am looking for a headphone to do these purchases justice. I have heard things about the HD-600. Are these good for gaming and music? Any other suggestions would be awesome. Thx for the help guys!

Just read in a review that the HD-600's are just an improved 580. this is true?

...uh....yeah.

Yeah; that's pretty much it.

....minor differences in SQ; more of a difference in materials on the outside.

Go for the 650. That's just a blanket statement. I'm sure there's someone on here that can provide a proper answer to compliment your setup.

What kind of sound signature are you looking for?

The Senn HD650's look very promising, will a z-audio lambda power a 300ohms set of cans well?
