My first set of "REAL" cans!! (56k beware!)
Ok, while I know they aren't much, but it's my first "real" set of cans. I'm a n00b when it comes to this, but I can see, hear, and feel a clear difference in these from anything I've heard before. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends that are into anything that has to do with electronics, to leave it generalized.
Put it this way, I was using these after my bargain Everglide S-500's fell and broke in half. So, I picked up newegg's last pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD700 on Monday, and just got them today!
Wow I say.
I have also purchased one of these little fella's :
cMoy amp which should be here tomorrow I would imagine.
I apologize if this is too many pics, but I'm ecstatic! These might be some of the best macro pics I've taken...(photo n00b as well, FujiFilm S700 first decent camera).
Pics!!
My ugly mug wearing my new toys...
Took this so you could see what I listened to first on them, FLAC of course!

Awesome pictures!
Can the plastic thingy be used as a stand? It doesn't look like it, but that would be very cool.

Welcome to the forums if nobody has greeted you.
I think you will really like them I just got a set for christmas and they have a nice soundstage... a little lean in the bass but a very nice set of cans! Very Light and Comfortable.
Enjoy!!!

Here's some pics of the stand in action for you!!
I don't know what's up with the little funny thing in the center of the screen here, but there's nothing wrong with it visually...
And some connector candy, LOL
PIITB??? LMAO!! :P

I bit, and am happy, though I'm watching some Grado's on eBay, because of the hype...but I'm happy right now..

Thanks! I never did make a new member thread (I always forget when I join forums), but I do appreciate that!
I'm listening to Eric Clapton's "Pilgrim" album right now.
These have made me actually get my CD's out and listen to them! First time in about 4-5 years they've seen light!

Lovely pictures!!
I grabbed AD1000s at bargain price since my friend was selling them and I got a home-town/friend discount and I LOVE mine!
Not as much as my K701s but audio-technica does some wonderful work with AD, A, and W series headphones
Btw, where did u pick up urs? ebay? audiocubes? directly from japan?
Just enjoy ur headphones and remember to burn them in for about 100 hours for better experience
Next up? W2002s and L3000s hehe

Nice to see more and more people buying ATs.
How's the sound leakage on them?

after trying my AD1000s... there should be massive sound leakage - so everyone can hear around you Oh well.
I just hope you're not using them for portable use

So sound leakage is what others can hear...Roger that..
I'll ask the woman later, as she'll be across the room on the couch watching TV...if she goes to the bedroom then I know she can hear them! LOL

any other plans for next headphone purchase?
that's the first thing I think about after getting a pair
Since one headphone is hard to cover all genres of music (I listen to all genres except country and hip hop) I feel that I need to buy more to cover all genres

Yea, thinking about some Grados for some rock.
I can't believe the music I'm listening to again!! Bush's "Razorblade Suitcase." I need some other stuff now.. .38 Special, here I come, then some Metallica, then me singing karaoke and getting hammered at the bar later!
