More info on Fake CX300
I posted this over at anythingbutIpod.com but i thought that since this is one of the first listings on google for "fake CX300" it should be here too. sorry if posting the same thing on two different forums is "bad form" but im new to forums and dont know all the "rules" yet. as i have been told. the "common" fakes ex the ones with y-cords and domed grills, are only one type this is another and a closer to real one IMO.

well, do they sound alright? It shouldn't be a problem for any of the big chinese firms to produce a dynamic canalphone that can keep up with or beat the old-fashioned CX300, so I think by now any good knock-offs should be a perfectly acceptable budget choice for the buyer who doesn't mind flaunting brand identity and intellectual property law. Of course, it's also quite possible to produce an awful-sounding set, so it's a roll of the dice.

they sound ok i guess. very bass heavy, and the right and left are switched. and one is louder than the other.
i have very little to compare too, so im not going to try and do a review or anything. but let me say that at $2.85 shipped its a bargin

There's a much more detailed list with a few other differences out there on the web somewheres.
