KSC 75 packaging?
I just bought a couple pairs of KSC's to give as gifts but I noticed that the packaging is different from what my pair came in last year.
I don't have a digicam to take pictures but the current package has a flat cardboard backing with a plastic front (it's the kind of package you'd find for a remote control or a kid's action figure) while my pair came in a more rounded, compact plastic package with no cardboard backing.
I just want to confirm that the headphones are the same. They all say KSC-75 but I just want to make sure that I'm not giving away duds as gifts.
Any idea?

Mine came with the cardboard back and shaped like an action-figure box, yes sadly.

I actually have both, one is sealed, the cardboard since once it's opened its wrecked... Personally I have heard no difference.
Although the one that came from the plastic box has some buzzing sounds now...
I had a pair before these, they were the card board ones, the right channel died...

Well, I gave the first pair away (to my dad) and so far we have a happy customer.
He's ranting and raving about how rich and full the sound is. Of course, he's coming from the pair that came with his decade old Panasonic Shockwave portable cd player so that doesn't really say much.

When I got my half dozen pairs last week, the cardboard ones had no volume and the bigger ones had a volume. RadioShack had both, they have the same SKU.

are the action figure ones lacking volume control? thats probably the difference, the one with volume has different packaging than the one without it

The RS models (with the volume control) are the only ones I've seen in the XBOX HUGE clamshells...
