Default K701 cable length

I got so fed up with the excessive length of this cable, for my needs, that I have almost halved the length and soldered on a top grade Neutrik jack plug. The cut of piece, I will fitted a cable socket so that I could always plug into this to restore a long cable.

How many folks here agree that cables are generally to long for their needs ?

Hehe... I actually think they're too short The K701 cable is not very good though: I don't like how it's near impossible to bundle up...

My HD580 cable is massively too long for my needs, I end up with it trailing for miles. My desk looks like a snake's nest. The k1000 cable is just right, though.

I did exactly the same -- halved length, Neutrik Plug --, with the result of a slight increase of transparency and treble sparkle.
