Wow, Zanth. Wow. Awesome interview. Couldn't have done it better myself. John answered every question I thought to ask.
BTW, is there any more material you plan on adding to the original body of the interview? If so, I'm looking patiently forward to it.
Also, to hear that John is Grado-Mod friendly is a very great thing, as is his take on tube amps, and how Grado doesn't need to make one at present since there are models that are adequate (I beg to differ, I wanna make a compact tube amp with separate power supply I could take most anywhere, and sound great for a first DIY amp

). Also kind of sad to hear that the cloning of the RA1(I'd be pissed off too, especially if someone tried to 'clone' my novels) has kind of restricted his willingness to send out parts and such, since if I could afford it, I would so totally buy 78 or 92 SR60 drivers to make a 5.1 speaker system comprised of 16 driver arrays by five or six speakers.
But that doesn't matter, that's not even my dream system (mine is a Bose Westborough 121+121V+464 set plus sub for ultra exotic 6.1). What matters is that I thoroughly enjoyed everything that came out of that interview, and now I can only wonder who else out there could be considered for another one, and if it would live up to how this interview with the classy John Grado. George Cardas? The head at Sennheiser(don't know his name)? The head of Etymotic Research? (As gpalmer so jokingly suggested) Amar Bose

? Or perhaps what's-his-name from Stax?
In any case, IMO, this thread should be a permanent sticky, if it isn't already up top to stay.
Good times!

- (or do a 32 RS1 driver array smiley!),
