I don't think that GS-1000 will put me right there in the stage....but about 3-4 rows back and THAT is not what Grado is about....but if i want to know the truth then i need to find shop where they sell them i try them on my self!!! Thanks for the answer Zanth
Do you have the 325i? I do, and I can hardly imagine prog-rock (like RUSH) could sound better on any other headphones. I test listened to "Counterparts", comparing the 325i to Denon D2000, and I am very pleased to say that my 325i blew the Denons right out of the water. The guitar, for instance, was just so ... raw! So there. I also found that some people who compared the 325i to the RS1 for this kind of music sided with the 325i. Food for thought.

So you might want to consider 325i if you don't already own them, especially if you listen to a lot of rock.

But I too am considering adding to my headphone selection. Adding, not replacing, since 325i do so damn well with rock. So if you own the 325i, think about what other kinds of music you listen to. For me, there's tons of female vocals, saxophone jazz, chamber music, Lisa Gerrard, requiems ... I asked Zanth in another thread what he thought, if I should then get the RS-1 or the GS-1000, and he voted for the GS-1000 with no second thought. So ... hope my little input helps, even though I have not personally auditioned neither RS-1 nor GS-1000.
