I noticed that you listen to mostly classical and jazz Morph (as in the cat?). Me too, and this mod has definitely improved my listening experience, especially because of the tighter, less boomy bass.
Very cool, I wonder if he can do the soft style material like Sensaphonics? One of the pics from the other thread made it appear like he could.
Did you get to pick out the color combo yourself? For 50,000 yen ($420), the cost of the IEM's, freight and impressions you're up into Westone/UE/Sensaphonics territory (if not more). I admit, I was a lot more tempted at 18,000 yen ($150)
Excellent stuff. What exactly did he do to the E500? Did he take them apart and put the "hardware" inside an acrylic mold and do a rewire? This kinda gives you an idea of what a UE10Pro rivalling, two-way, triple-driver Shure custom IEM would sound like Anyway, congrats!

Yes, his own IEMs are super.fi 5 pros in a soft silicone mold. I went the acrylic route because I thought that they would be more durable in the long run.

Yes, I chose the dark translucent blue. He put the carbon fiber faceplate on to complete the mold, but I guess he probably could have made the entire thing acrylic blue.
I think the 18,000 was probably for the custom tip.
