Default How does the bass compare on the Ultrasone Pro-750 vs the Ultrasone HFI-780?

...in terms of impact and ultimate extension...?

Very similar to me. The 750 is a bit tighter as I recall. Quality, if that's a term for bass, was a bit better. My current HFI 780's have more bass volume, it hits quite a bit harder, but there is a bit more resonance that makes it just a tad looser.

Though you didn't ask, I liked the highs better from the 750. Detailed and bright, but not harsh or brittle. The 780 has both harshness and brittleness to me.

I like the mids from the 780's better. Both are nice, but the 750 seemed more recessed to me.

I had the 750's and sold them for the 780's, based on the rave reviews and the smaller size. I also wanted to experiment with them. Overall, stock, I liked the 750's better, I think.

personally i haven't heard the 750s before, but i own the HFI780.
i can tell u that its excellent for electronica imo.
also the syn leather pads don't get flaky over time with sweat and oil.
