Here's how to make your tri-flanges slide right in
I've heard that putting a small amount of olive oil in your ear canals every once in a while is healthy.
Because of this, I've had the idea of putting a small coat of olive oil on my tri-flanges.
First, I thoroughly cleaned my tri-flanges. Then when I was sure that it was clean and dry, using a Q-tip, I put a thin coat of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (the olive oil you use does not have to be virgin. I'm just telling you what I used) on the tri-flanges. Then, using a dry paper towel, I wiped off the excess (remember to be careful NOT to get olive oil into the hole in the tip) oil.
My earplugs (this works for IEM's too - mine just didn't arrive yet ) just sliiidee right in now.
What do you guys think?
I should have mentioned this earlier, but it didn't come to mind:

For me, I... still haven't re-applied the olive oil yet. It's still working.. I think it has been 2 months... Yup, it's still working. However, I don't use my ER-20s as often as I use headphones, so when I get my IEM's, I would assume that I would need to clean my tri-flanges and re-apply olive oil every month.
The coating of olive oil lasts a long time - at least until the next time you wash the tri-flanges.
EDIT: and no, I don't carry a bottle of olive oil around with me

Do you carry around a bottle of Olive Oil with you? Would be interesting to try it, but I think I will stick with wetting them with tongue/finger. Much easier to carry around some spit than a bottle of oil.

Trim the stock, cut off a flange, voila. I truly dont see the point of that third flange.

I wonder how my flanges would look after I take 'm out, put them in my pocket and take them out again.
Ah well, I just jam 'm in my ear and be done with it.

Good idea. Any reason why you use extra virgin and not plain, white truffle-, black truffle-, rosemary- or chili-infused olive oil?

I really have no idea, lol. It's the only olive oil that I have lying around right now
Personally, I don't prefer my tri-flanges to taste/smell a particular flavor/scent So you could really try any kind of olive oil... I'm only saying I've only tried Extra Virgin so far, cause that's all I have as of now...
