Nice, I was hoping for more information on these headphones. They definitely interest me a great deal, and are on my "to get eventually" list. I would like to hear some comparisons with the O2.

I'd be a fool to turn that down. Thanks Gary! Patron Silver over the Gold any day.
When you're ready I'll PM you my info.
BTW- After 18 hours, the soundstage has risen higher (from upper to lower, but not front to back) and the reverb or recess of the mids and vocals is starting to warm up and solidify.
After 100 hours I will assume that the presentation will be pretty finalized with only slight changes after that, good or bad.
The real positive of this, is that I have the 1.2's to make a direct comparison to. The 1.2's are one of my favorite headphones of all in my experiences, considering comfort, price structure and sound. If the 1.3's final sound resemble the 1.2's, then Head-Direct is going to have a hard time keeping up with their orders.

P.S.I hope you're ready for some Patron,buddy.
This is excellent news, it'll be good to have a direct comparison of the 1.2 1.3 and HE-90 all run from the same amp in near ideal conditions to see where these really stand. Of course, I haven't heard any of the three, but like everyone else, have heard endless praise of the Senn so if they are even in the same general league it'll be impressive. I may even be able to afford the HE 1.3 depending on results.
I already want an O2, TakeT, and W5000. Now this comes along as a potential suitor too Choices choices...

I'm looking forward to hearing these in Mayberry in a couple of weeks. I'll reserve judgment on them until then. I don't care much for the looks but also don't care much how my headphones look as long as they sound good. If they do and they seem to be well constructed, I will probably pick up a pair. I've come close to ordering them a few times already. Based upon the pics, I think I prefer the look of the 1.2 but I'll wait and see.
Assuming you two haven't already tried them, may I suggest some alternatives to Patron Silver? Their quality and flavor profile have proven superior at tastings.
1921 Blanco
7 Leguas Blanco
Casa Noble Blanco
El Tesoro de Don Felipe Platinum
The El Tesoro will probably be priced right around the Patron Silver, maybe a few dollars cheaper. The other three though will probably be $5-10 more per bottle.
These suggestions are all assuming that you'll are sipping it neat(no lime, salt, mixer, etc.). If making margaritas the Patron Silver is perfectly fine, although the Cazadores Silver makes on just as good, if not better, and costs less than the Patron.
If anyone is interested, you'll should join us on the Ian Chadwick's tequila discussion forum? We have a huge collective of tequila enthusiasts from around the world, including the CEO's of Jose Cuervo, Casa Noble, El Tesoro, 4 Copas, and various others. It's a great place for information if you're as obsessed with the blue agave plant as I am. We've got Tequila, Mezcal, and motorcycles.
I go by "greens" over there if you should ever drop by.
