Default headphone transportation

Hi,
i have a pair of W3000 (w100 with l3000 drivers). I was wondering how i could safely transport them on my trip to Australia? Does anyone know of any decent cases that would fit them? can you buy the w5000 flight case after market?

thanks
Justin

Actually, I'd take a look at gun cases. Jimmy (jpelg) kept his JVCs (which I think were the same size) in a really nice gun case. Not sure where he got it, but man was that thing sweet.

Of course, you'll have to show them what's inside at the airport...

I use a couple of these for transport. Water tight and nearly indestructible. They have fit everything from Grados to Sony SA-5000s to AKG K1000s with no problem.

The Pelican is probably overkill. But I like knowing that if I drop my headphones out of an airplane or into the Hudson River they will come out fine. I get mine at B&H Photo here in the city for 57 dollars so I think they are hard to beat at that price. I suppose all the extra colors are a bonus as well but I usually just get gray.

My bro got me a medium Quantaray aluminum case for my DT770-80s, and it works beautifully. The diced foam allows for custom fitting, and it's a great size for headphones in general (even though Quantaray specializes in camera equipment.)

I have this:

Fits my Sony MDR-5000 and Senn 595 very comfortably.

The cheapest price over here is like 80 pounds which imo is a little ott for a case, maybe one of the members there could send me a case across? Would it be possible to get a w5000 plastic hard case box? Do you think anyone here will part with the box? would it be possible to order the case directly from AT?
thanks
Justin
