Headphone Cable Protection

Hello,
Could someone point me to where i can find some type of cover to protect my headphone cable? Specifically speaking where the cable plugs into my ipod. I want to keep this from bending. I can already hear some type of distortion if i REALLY move the wire..have i already messed it up??

That sounds like the solder joints inside have already come loose. You will do well to reterminate the cable (with a new plug) and this time make sure the soldering job is well done and well protected (by the use of heatshrink).
